What lucky souls have managed to get some of Peacetree Brewing’s Templeton Red?

Judging from some occasional mentions on Twitter – @peacetreebrew – it appears that some lucky souls have managed to get some of Peacetree Brewing’s Templeton Red. Back when I visited Peacetree in March the place was jam-packed with used Templeton Rye barrels.  Some 9-month old Templeton Rye barrel-aged Imperial Stout has already been on tap and a Templeton Blonde showed up in May.  In June I saw some twitter posts about a Templeton Red. So, I assume that  more is on the way! You should know that each barrel shipped from Templeton with a “slosh” of left-over Templeton Rye still in the barrel, so I will be quite interested to see how this special brew tastes. I will update this post as soon as I learn more. I will probably be heading through Knoxville over the weekend and hope to be able taste it if it is on tap. Update: This beer will only be available on the tap at Peacetree. There is apparently no plan to bottle it. Call ahead to see if it is on tap the day you visit.
